Three Charged After Guns And Drugs Seized From Corner Brook Home

Three people face charges after guns and drugs are seized on the west coast. On Tuesday afternoon, RCMP-RNC Joint Force Operation West searched a home on Petley Street in Corner Brook based on a warrant. Two tasers, an imitation rifle, a quantity of cash, contraband tobacco, a large quantity of prescription pills and evidence supporting drug trafficking were seized. Owen Barnes, 40, Danielle Wight, 38, and Michael Park, 34, were taken into custody in connection with the investigation. Barnes and Wight face charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to traffic, two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. Park is charged with possession with intent to traffic in prescription pills. The three were released to appear in court at a later date. The investigation continues.
