The Kremlin is suffering from a “severe” manpower shortage as the invasion of Ukraine enters its seventh month, the unnamed US official said on Wednesday. It is believed that the Russian Defense Ministry is looking to deploy short-term service contract members to the front lines to cover these battlefield personnel shortages, the official said, requesting anonymity.
