RCMP in Penticton still have no suspects to release a year after a young man was found murdered at a Penticton high school. Police were called just before 6 a.m. on Sunday, September 5, 2021, to assist BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) with a report of an unresponsive person in a field located in the 100-block of Eckhart Avenue. Taig Savage, found dead as a result of homicide. Savage was 22 at the time. “While no arrests have been made to date, a full investigation into this matter is ongoing, including a detailed forensic and technological investigation of the evidence gathered,” said Cst. James Grundy said in a press release. The support of the Penticton community and region has been significant with ongoing additional avenues of research being considered and pursued. Taig’s mother, Tracey Savage, asked the community to continue to come forward with tips that could help police find his killer. Since Taig was identified as the victim last September, little new information has been released by police or told to his mother. Any tips can be called to the Penticton RCMP at 250-492-4300.
