Merseyside Police held a press conference on Thursday with updates on the search for the nine-year-old’s killer. The force released CCTV footage of the attacker running from the house on Kingsheath Avenue in Liverpool where Olivia was shot last week. Detective Chief Inspector Mark Kameen said coroners concluded two weapons were used in the attack, but none had been found. “I believe at that time that the gunman brought both of these weapons with him and that they were still with him when he violently left Olivia’s house. I want to know where these weapons are now,” he said. He added that police hoped the CCTV would trigger people’s memories of that day if they saw the gunman in the area at around 10pm on Monday 22 August. The video shows a man wearing a black padded jacket and a black balaclava with a top and black gloves. Mr Kamin said the suspect was about 5ft 7in with a thin build. “This footage shows the gunman running along Finch Lane away from Kingsheath Avenue. You then see him turn right onto Berryford Road and out of sight. We know it climbs in and out of people’s gardens to avoid being seen,” Mr Kamin said. Olivia was fatally shot at her home in Liverpool (PA) Police on Wednesday renewed their appeal for information about Olivia’s murder and urged the public not to protect the identity of the killer. Mr Kameen said: “Just because we’ve seen two arrests doesn’t mean we need this information any less. “Tell us what you know, directly or anonymously, and let us judge how important that information is.” Police in Liverpool launched Operation Miller, a crackdown on organized crime after Olivia became the third fatal shooting in a week in the city. Ashley Dale, 28, was found with gunshot wounds in the back garden of her Leinster Road home in the early hours of August 21. Three people have been arrested over her death. Sam Rimmer, 22, died after being shot in Dingle on August 16. Four men were arrested and released on bail for his murder. Police continue to appeal to the public for information about the three murders.
