Verstappen won the final race, at Spa-Francorchamps, at an absolute canter despite starting 14th on the grid. Teammate Sergio Perez completed Red Bull’s trip to Belgium with second place as Carlos Sainz salvaged a third place finish for Ferrari on a struggling day. F1’s trip to Zandvoort will be the second in a row after the seaside circuit returned to the calendar last year after it was withdrawn at the end of 1985. Verstappen won last year’s race.
