Standing in front of Philadelphia’s Independence Hall, Mr Biden directly condemned what he called “MAGA Republicans”, citing the January 6, 2021 riot at the US Capitol by Trump supporters, saying: “As I stand here tonight, equality and democracy is under attack.”
