ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reported that Mitchell was playing golf when he was informed of the deal and details. When Mitchell found out Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen, Darius Garland and Kevin Love weren’t in the trade, he “went screaming onto the golf course” excited. Windhorst added of Mitchell that “he’s super excited right now. I’m sure he’d love to be Nick (New York), that’s his hometown. But he’s super excited right now.”
